I’m Samantha, the family and lifestyle photographer behind CaptiveHeart Photography in Frederick, Maryland.

I’m a mom of three, a wife to a Navy veteran, a Florida girl learning to live with Maryland winters, and someone who believes the ordinary moments often become the ones we miss the most.

​

Photography began as a way to document my own family, but it grew into a passion for helping other families hold onto their seasons—the laughter, the movement, the personalities, and the little connections that can be so easy to overlook.

My sessions are relaxed, patient, and centered on connection. Your children don’t have to sit perfectly or smile on command, and your family doesn’t have to perform for my camera. You only need to be present with the people you love. I’ll take care of the rest.
